Abstract

The cattle population in Gegerbitung District is 179 heads with an average manure production of 8- 10 kg/day. However, cow fecal waste has not been utilized optimally due to the lack of knowledge of farmers in the use of livestock manure waste. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out communication of extension innovations regarding bokashi so that farmers can make optimal use of manure waste. The purpose of the study is to analyze the level of knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers in the use of cow feces in making bokashi. The respondents of the study were members of the Srimulya Tani, Karya Tani and Berkah Tani farmer groups with a total of 31 respondents. Data collection was carried out through a closed questionnaire. The analysis used was using descriptive statistics and Wilcoxon test using software (IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 25) and Microsoft excel software. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in the level of knowledge before and after the counseling with a significance value of 0.000, the attitude of farmers towards counseling on the use of cow dung into bokashi fertilizer to increase farmers' income by showing an attitude of 87% agreeing and 13% strongly agreeing, while in terms of skills, most of them were in the category of quite skilled with a percentage of 81%.
