Abstract

The population of sheep in Gegerbitung Village is 412 heads. Gegerbitung Village has potential in the livestock sector, especially in sheep farming. However, sheep waste (feces) has not been utilized properly by breeders, so innovation communication is needed through education about the use of sheep waste (feces) into bokashi fertilizer. The aim of the research is to analyze the level of knowledge, attitudes and skills of farmers in using sheep waste (feces) into bokashi fertilizer in the Kutamandiri farmer group with a total of 63 respondents. Data collection was carried out through closed questionnaires. The analysis used is descriptive statistics and paired sample t test using the Microsoft Excel software application and (IBM SPSS Statistics v.25). The results of the study showed that there was a difference in the level of knowledge before and after the extension was carried out with a significance of 0.000, evaluation of the extension on aspects of farmer knowledge regarding the use of sheep waste (feces) into bokashi fertilizer, previously they did not know 48% to very know 51%, the attitude of farmers towards education on waste utilization Sheep (feces) became bokashi fertilizer with an attitude of 90% strongly agreeing, while the farmer's skill in using sheep waste (feces) into bokashi fertilizer showed 51% skill.
