Conseling On Rice Bran Fermentation To Incrase Body Weight Of Sheep In The Forward Makmur Farming Group
Abstract
Nanggerang Village, Cicurug District, Sukabumi Regency has a land area of 716 Ha with an area of 30 Ha of rice fields, 511 Ha of non-rice fields and 175 Ha of non-agricultural land with a population of 6,198 people. Apart from that, the potential of Nanggerang Village is animal husbandry. The livestock population in Nanggerang Village is 410 sheep (BPS 2020). Nanggerang village has potential in the agricultural sector, especially in lowland rice. However, the agricultural waste has not been utilized properly. The aim of the research is to analyze the level of knowledge and attitudes of farmers in providing fermented rice bran to sheep in advanced and prosperous farming groups. Data collection was carried out through closed questions. The analysis used is descriptive statistics and paired sample t test using software (IBM SPSS Statistics 25). The results of the research showed that there were differences in the level of knowledge before and after the extension and the farmer's attitude towards the extension on the provision of rice bran fermentation to increase the body weight of sheep, showing an attitude of 100% agreement.
