PENYULUHAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS SAPI POTONG DI GAPOKTAN MAKMUR JAYA KECAMATAN LEMBAH SEGAR KOTA SAWAH LUNTO PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT
Abstract
Problems faced by farmers in the village of North Kubang, District of Sawahlunto, West Sumatera Province is; the unoptimum knowledge of the beef catle farmers. This study aims to improve the farmers knowledge in beef cattle production. The method use was purposive sampling. Quistionaries were used in this study. The result of Kendall’s W analysis showed that mean rank of the farmers’knowledge in forage was 5.38, parent stock 5.22, feeding (consentrate) 4.38, animal healt and reproduction 2.97, marketing 1.85 and stall 1.20. By those result, farmers’stall was chosee as extension activities. In order to better understanding, the extention methode chose was farmer to farmer visit, using power point programe and brochure. Result obtained by extention activities was analyzed by descriptive method. Farmer’s knowledge in stall was 62% (category moderate).Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
