HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KEPEMILIKAN TERNAK DOMBA DAN BIAYA USAHA DENGAN PENDAPATAN PETERNAK

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi tentang seberapa banyak ternak
domba yang dimiliki petani ternakyang dapat menghidupi keluarganya sesuai dengan upah
minimum regional Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai
dengan Nopember 2007 di kelompok petani ternak (peternak) domba desa binaan STPP Bogor
Jurusan Penyuluhan Peternakan. Metoda yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey
terhadap 30 orang peternak domba. Peubah yang diamati adalah: a) jumlah kepemilikan ternak,
b) pendapatan peternak (pengelola), c) Input tetap/variable, d) B/C Ratio Ekonomi, e) BEP
produksi (ekor) dan BEP harga (rupiah). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat
kepemilikan rata-rata peternak 19 ekor, pendapatan rata-rata/ekor/bulan sebesar Rp13.210,-,
biaya usaha/ekor/bulan sebesar Rp 40.606,-, harga pembelian ternak rata-rata/ekor sebesar Rp
269.167,- dan harga jual ternak rata-rata/ekor sebesar Rp 600.000,-. Perhitungan analisis
ekonomi menghasilkan BEP produksi 487 ekor, BEP harga Rp 452.720,- dan B/C 33%,
sehingga ternak domba yang harus dipelihara untuk memperoleh upah minimum regional
kabupaten Bogor sebanyak 61 ekor.
